Maze Racers has won numerous awards and was a finalist for Toy of the Year 2017.

How Maze Racers Came To Be

The BigLeap challenge to design low cost educational games for kids is where it all began. We entered a maze racing concept we’d played at home in the past. In a nutshell, kids glue cut up straws into a cereal box to create a maze path. When their maze is complete, they swap it with another team, drop in a marble, and race.

The contest was championed by Professor Silvia Bunge, a learning expert at U.C. Berkeley, and Bill Ritchie, CEO of ThinkFun. We were absolutely stunned when this simple fun game idea took top honors! Winning the contest inspired us to bring Maze Racers to market with the help of FoxMind.
